Welcome Home for the 2/24^th Marine Regiment April 9, 2005 “whizz-bang”

Rolling ThunderÒ and friends (Top Cats, HOG chapters, et all) on 2 wheels, along with the Rosemont Police Department, provided a short escort for the Marines and Sailors, traveling from Midway Airport to the Allstate Arena for a Welcome Home celebration. The staging area was on Higgins Rd. 2 Blocks West of River Rd., starting at 14:00. Tom Lonze lead a group from the Toys R Us parking lot in Gurnee Mills at 12:30 for a slow ride down the Tri-state toll way to meet up with the rest of the group at the staging area. They had lots of flags, and lots of bikes. The weather cooperated to make the event spectacular.
